What is a roller? Do you know?
Do you know what a roller is?
Roller: An important component of belt conveyors, there are many types and a large quantity. It accounts for 40% of the total cost of a belt conveyor and bears more than 75% of the resistance, so the quality of the roller is particularly important.
Grooved roller: Its function is to support the weight of the conveyor belt and materials. The roller must operate flexibly and reliably. Reducing the friction between the conveyor belt and the roller plays a key role in the lifespan of the conveyor belt, which accounts for more than 25% of the total cost of the conveyor. Although the roller is a relatively small component in the belt conveyor and its structure is not complex, manufacturing high-quality rollers is not an easy task.
The criteria for judging the quality of rollers include the following: radial runout of the roller; flexibility of the roller; axial movement of the roller.
Usage and operation of rollers:
1. Before using the roller, carefully check for any serious bumps or damage on the appearance, and the rotating roller should turn flexibly without obstruction.
2. The installation distance of the roller should be determined based on scientific calculations considering the type of logistics and the characteristics of the conveyor's capacity, avoiding too sparse or too dense installation.
3. The installation of rollers should avoid mutual rubbing.
Roller models:
1. Classified by material: rubber rollers, ceramic rollers, nylon rollers, and insulated rollers.
2. Mainly includes grooved roller groups, various parallel roller groups, various self-aligning roller groups, and various buffering roller groups.
Display of various roller product models:
What rollers are and the classification of roller functions.
1. Grooved rollers include ordinary rollers, forward-tilting rollers, quick-change bearing rollers, hanging rollers, three-chain rollers, reversible rollers, variable groove angle rollers, transition rollers, V-shaped rollers, etc.;
2. Parallel rollers include ordinary rollers, comb rollers, forward-tilting rollers, steel-rubber rollers, spiral rollers, etc.;
3. Self-aligning rollers include general type, friction reversible rollers, heavy-duty rollers, conical rollers, spiral rollers, combination rollers, etc.;
4. Buffering rollers include spring plate rollers, buffering ring rollers, heavy-duty buffering rollers, adjustable elasticity rollers, hanging rollers, etc.
